Theatre for the Very Young
Theatre for the Very Young Programs
DreamBox Theatre for the Very Young is a program geared for our youngest audience members. The program visits preschools and community spaces weekly and offers a mult-sensory interactive theatre experience that uses story-telling, puppetry, music, and movement in every session. Early literacy skills are being fostered by introducing skills such as speaking, listening, identifying characters, settings, and sequencing of the major events in each story. Children explore a different story each week with different puppets, music and props that explore various themes. Examples of these themes include: Community Helpers, Habitats, Healthy Habits, Fables, and Fairy Tales. We aim to create a stimulating and interactive environment for young children to learn through play.
We are currently scheduling/ booking our 10-week programs in local preschools and community spaces (book shops, toyshops, churches).
